About Emilia
Emilia Coto is the founder and principal lawyer at Sisu Legal, a firm focused exclusively on Canadian and US immigration law. She is a member of the Law Society of Ontario and the New York Bar, and limits her caseload so each client gets individual attention. Before founding Sisu Legal, she spent three years at a full-service firm in Windsor, Ontario, and earlier worked at a community legal clinic on immigration and landlord-tenant matters. She received the Women's Law Association of Ontario Avril A. Farlam Advocacy Award for her representation of vulnerable clients, and has appeared before various tribunals and the Superior Court of Justice. She has also worked at a social enterprise in Brazil and at the United Nations in Egypt.
