About Thomas
Thomas Robert Porter was born in Sault Ste. Marie and admitted to the Ontario bar in 1980, holding a B.A. (1974) and LL.B. (1978) from the University of Windsor. He practises estate planning, wills and estate administration, real estate and business law, municipal and land use planning, and employment law, and is a past agent for the federal Director of Public Prosecutions. He served as a Windsor city councillor from 1982 to 1994 and has held numerous community leadership roles, including past chairman of the Essex Region Conservation Authority and the Windsor-Essex County Development Commission, and past president of the University of Windsor Alumni Association. He belongs to the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Canadian Bar Association, and the Essex Law Association.
