About Elizabeth

Liz focuses her practice on family law and wills and estates, with a particular interest in helping clients resolve matters outside of court through mediation and negotiation. She's trained in the Collaborative Family Law Process and is working toward accreditation as a mediator. She has a special interest in fertility agreement drafting, including for sperm donors, egg donors, and surrogacy arrangements, as well as independent legal advice. Before law school, Liz attended teacher's college at Queen's University and is a fully qualified high school teacher, an experience that shapes her focus on the needs of children affected by separation. She earned a BA in History from Trent University in 2013, was on the President's Honour Roll, and completed a Bachelor of Education at Queen's University in 2014 before earning her Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa in 2018, graduating cum laude. She is a member of the Law Society of Ontario and the Collaborative Family Law Practice Group Ottawa, sits on the board of Collaborative Divorce Ottawa, and serves on the County of Carleton Law Association's diversity and membership committees.
