About Donald

Donald Murray has practised law in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia for more than 40 years, providing defence services for criminal and regulatory offence matters. Since the mid-1990s he has also worked as a neutral decision-maker in workplace arbitrations, professional discipline proceedings and human rights claims, and he has closed his intake of new criminal and regulatory files to concentrate on that adjudication work. He sits on the roster of arbitrators maintained by the Nova Scotia Ministry of Labour under the Trade Union Act and serves as an adjudicator under the Nova Scotia Human Rights Act. He previously chaired the Professional Responsibility Hearing Committee under the Nova Scotia Legal Profession Act and served for eight years as an adjudicator under the Indian Residential Schools Settlement Agreement.
