About Derrek

Derrek Fahl advises business owners on contract review and drafting, incorporations, partnership and shareholder agreements, and business structuring, with particular experience in mergers and acquisitions, securities law and corporate finance, corporate governance, secured lending, commercial real estate, and cryptocurrency and blockchain matters. He has acted as both purchaser's and vendor's counsel on business acquisitions ranging up to $36 million, and has helped clients raise capital through private placements, offering memoranda, and crowdfunding. He served two terms as a director of the Saskatchewan Securities Commission (now the FCAA) from 2011 to 2018 and has been a director of the Saskatoon Downtown Business Improvement District. Fahl has a long connection to hockey as a player, coach, and current general manager of the Warman U18 AAA Wildcats.
