About Deborah

Deborah E. Palter maintains a broad commercial and civil litigation practice, representing individuals, corporations, and financial institutions in disputes involving commercial agreements, director and officer liability, banking, commercial real estate, fraud, shareholder and partnership conflicts, insolvency, and securities across a range of industries. She regularly appears before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and handles negotiation, mediation, and private arbitration of business disputes. A past President of The Advocates' Society, she has been named by Benchmark Canada as one of the country's top 100 women in litigation, and recognized as a leading practitioner by the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory and Best Lawyers in Canada; she is frequently sought out as a speaker and advocacy trainer. Within The Advocates' Society, Palter served eight years on its board of directors, chaired its Education Committee and the Trinity Western University task force, and also sat on the Commercial List Users' Committee.
