About Dean

Dean J. Winterton practises general commercial and insurance litigation, including the defence of businesses and professional liability actions against lawyers, as well as personal injury, property damage, and product and occupiers' liability actions. Before joining Guild Yule, Winterton was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 2011 and called to the Bar as an Advocate there in 2014, appearing at trial and appeal levels in South Africa before also appearing in British Columbia courts. He was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2018, and has been recognized as a Future Star in Benchmark Litigation Canada's 2025 edition and a Litigation Star in its 2026 edition.
