About Dawood

Dawood Ahmad is a partner at Perrin Ahmad LLP practising criminal law, civil litigation, and family law. He earned an Honours Bachelor of Arts in criminology with distinction from Wilfrid Laurier University and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Ottawa, where he was a member of the Innocence Project and reviewed complex murder cases, and he also volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada. He regularly appears in the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice, defends clients facing criminal and provincial charges, and supports senior firm counsel on complex criminal matters. He has also initiated civil claims against police and is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Criminal Lawyers' Association.
