About David
David R. Thompson is a founding partner of Valley Law Group LLP, practicing family law, wills and estates, estate litigation, and corporate financing and real estate. Raised in the Fraser Valley, he earned a Bachelor of Arts from Simon Fraser University in 1989 and a Juris Doctor from Gonzaga University School of Law in Spokane, Washington in 1993. He was admitted to the Washington State Bar in 1993 and, after obtaining a Certificate of Qualification from the University of Ottawa's Joint Committee on Accreditation in 1995, was called to the British Columbia Bar in 1996. He is licensed to practice in both British Columbia and Washington State, including before the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington, and has represented clients before the British Columbia Court of Appeal. He is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia, the Washington State Bar Association, and Phi Delta Phi International Legal Fraternity, and a former chair and trustee of the Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation.
