About David
David Laird focuses his practice on family law at Burrison Hudani Doris LLP, handling matters with an emphasis on empathy toward clients. Before joining the firm, he articled and worked at a prominent litigation firm and at a boutique family law practice in Toronto. His aim throughout has been to help clients move into the next chapter of their lives feeling resilient and prepared. He earned his Juris Doctor from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University and was called to the Ontario bar in 2024. While in law school, he volunteered with Nova Scotia Legal Aid and Lawyers Without Borders on child protection, animal welfare and residential tenancy matters.
