Estrin is a senior environmental law specialist and counsel at Gowling WLG's Toronto office. He helped found the Canadian Environmental Law Association in 1971 and was its environmental law clinic's first general counsel, and he has taught environmental law at Osgoode Hall, the University of Ottawa, and the University of Waterloo. He received the Law Society Medal in 2016.
