About Daryl
Daryl Royer articled at an Edmonton-based criminal defence firm after law school, where he authored papers on euthanasia and dangerous offender legislation. He completed his articles and bar entrance programs and was called to the bar on May 31, 2003. He has since been involved in over 90 reported cases and more than 50 appeals, representing clients in criminal courts across Alberta, British Columbia, the Northwest Territories, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Newfoundland, and Ontario, and at every level of court including the Supreme Court of Canada. His practice covers murder and violent offences, sexual assault, domestic violence, drug and firearms offences, and financial crimes including Revenue Canada fraud matters. He has also authored several crime-thriller novels inspired in part by real cases.
