About Darcy

Darcy Lawrence is Associate Counsel at Shoreline Law, practising primarily in criminal defence and advising individuals facing Criminal Code and Motor Vehicle Act charges in BC's Provincial and Supreme Courts. He also advises on regulatory matters under the federal Fisheries Act, the Wildlife Act, the Wildfire Act, and the Heritage Conservation Act. Lawrence holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alberta and an LL.B. from the University of Victoria. He began his legal career with the BC Crown Counsel office in 1995, working in Vancouver and Squamish before moving to the Sechelt Crown Counsel office in 1998, and shifted to criminal defence in 2000. He has organized the Sunshine Coast Open Tennis Tournament since 2007 and serves on the board of the Sunshine Coast Squash Association, and was formerly supervising lawyer for the Sunshine Coast Resource Centre's Legal Advocate program.
