D. Stuart Gray is the firm's senior litigation counsel, handling insurance defence, construction disputes, and commercial disputes alongside the firm's solicitors. He holds an LLB from the University of Victoria and was called to the British Columbia bar in 1990. He practised as a trial lawyer in Victoria before joining Powell & Gray in 1994 and becoming a partner in 1997. Gray is a member of the Canadian and BC Bar Associations and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and is a non-practising member of the Washington State Bar Association.
