Law school was the Lincoln Alexander School of Law at Toronto Metropolitan University, where Justin was part of the very first class. For the final term, Justin was chosen to do research for judges of the Ontario Court of Justice at the Waterloo Region Courthouse. Along the way there was a turn arguing in the McCarthy Tétrault Cup, a constitutional law moot, and membership in the student Criminal Law Society.

Law wasn't the first career. Justin worked as an executive chef at big restaurants in Toronto and Montreal, and that's where the leadership skills were sharpened. Justin grew up in Grimsby, Ontario, took a BA in English literature at Concordia in Montreal, then studied public policy at York in Toronto. Off the clock, it's sports (playing as well as watching), cooking and family time.
