About Clive

Clive Boulton is a partner in the Insurance and Commercial and Business Litigation practice groups at Singleton Urquhart Reynolds Vogel LLP. He has practised law since 1979, starting at the Provincial Crown Counsel's office in Vancouver, where he spent two years doing exclusively trial work, including six months of jury trials. He moved into private practice in 1981 and has since handled fire losses, construction liability, commercial and vehicle fraud, real estate defence, medical malpractice defence, and personal injury defence, along with some plaintiff-side personal injury work. His current focus is defending insurers in vehicle injury and occupiers' liability claims, including catastrophic injury, brain injury, thoracic outlet syndrome, fibromyalgia, and chronic pain syndrome cases. He also defends construction liability claims involving fire loss and water damage. Clive is a trial lawyer who has appeared before the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal of British Columbia. He was called to the British Columbia Bar in 1979 and received his law degree from the University of British Columbia in 1978.
