About Christopher

Christopher Smith grew up between Rossland and Nelson before leaving for university and travel abroad. He earned an honours degree in philosophy from the University of Victoria and a law degree from the University of Saskatchewan. His practice centres on civil disputes before the Supreme Court of British Columbia, with a particular focus on advocating for injured clients. He founded Purcell Law, a Kootenay firm that combined with SMT Lawyers in January 2026, and he continues practising as a partner in the merged firm.
