About Chantall
Chantall Long is the principal and founder of Rooted Law Corporation, practicing family law and wills and estates throughout British Columbia. She obtained her Bachelor of Laws with Honours from the University of Technology in Jamaica in 2014 and worked in the legal field before immigrating to Canada in 2016. Long completed Alternative Dispute Resolution training and holds a Paralegal Class P1 licence through the Law Society of Ontario, and in 2021 completed the National Committee on Accreditation process through the Federation of Law Societies of Canada. She spent over five years in post-secondary education and legal administration in British Columbia, including two years as a contract instructor at Douglas College teaching litigation and family law, and gained further experience in family law, civil litigation, immigration, and wills and estates at a boutique Port Coquitlam firm. Long has appeared before the Immigration and Refugee Board, the Provincial Court of British Columbia, and the Supreme Court of British Columbia, and belongs to the Law Society of British Columbia, the Canadian Bar Association, and the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia.
