Carolyn Stamegna serves as counsel in Goodmans' business law group, with a focus on domestic and international transactions in the film and television, media, and technology sectors. She represents financial institutions, private financiers and investors, Canadian media companies, content creators, and service providers, both domestic and foreign, and she advises on outsourcing transactions in the media and financial services sectors. Stamegna has extensive experience leading production, corporate, and structured finance transactions across multiple jurisdictions, along with international co-production and co-venture arrangements. Her expertise includes structuring production companies and entertainment ventures, handling content acquisitions, and advising on the exploitation and protection of intellectual property rights. Chambers Canada, The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory, The Legal 500 Canada, and Best Lawyers in Canada, which named her its 2019 Toronto entertainment Lawyer of the Year, have all recognized her entertainment and media work.
