About Bryan

Bryan M. Hicks was called to the Ontario bar in 1997 and practised in a rural general practice before joining Formosa Mutual Insurance, later Trillium Mutual, in 2000 as staff counsel and network administrator. He held several roles there through 2023, most recently as Advisor, Compliance and Regulatory Services and Corporate Secretary, and chaired the OMIA Regulatory Compliance Working Group. He has represented mutual insurers' interests on the FSRA Technical Advisory Committee for Insurance Prudential Regulation and Supervision, and his practice now focuses on insurance law advice, claims and settlement review, and compliance and governance for Ontario-regulated insurers and small to medium-sized businesses.
