Before joining CLHLaw he practiced law in Calgary for over ten years in securities and corporate finance, articling with a national firm before working as an associate at a securities boutique and later as a partner at a full-service business law firm. He has advised both publicly listed and small to mid-sized companies on private placements, initial public offerings, securities regulation and corporate governance. He holds a Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta, a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Calgary, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Saskatchewan, and was called to the Alberta Bar in 2003.
