About Brenda

Brenda Gosselin's transaction-based practice covers corporate and securities law generally, with particular emphasis on corporate finance, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, shareholder rights and activism, and corporate recapitalizations. She regularly represents market participants, issuers, and investors in public financings and private debt and equity investments, including initial public offerings and follow-on financings, and she acts for U.S. and offshore funds and institutional investors in Canadian capital markets deals. Gosselin advises boards of public issuers on corporate governance and represents both buyers and sellers in merger and acquisition transactions, and she regularly handles private equity fund formation and investment work. Publications recognizing her practice include the Lexpert Special Edition: Finance and M&A, Chambers Canada, Best Lawyers in Canada, The Legal 500 Canada, IFLR1000, and The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory. In 2016, Lexpert named her one of its Rising Stars under 40. She previously served on the Securities Law Subcommittee of the Ontario Bar Association's Business Law Section.
