About Audra

Audra Bayer has practised family law since 2000, when she was first called to the bar in Manitoba, and has practised in British Columbia since 2012; she is now an Associate Counsel with FH&P Lawyers LLP, based in West Kelowna. Her practice focuses on education-led approaches and mediation in high-conflict cases, particularly where family violence, mental health, or substance misuse are factors, as well as litigation and mediation of complex asset division and income determination in high-net-worth matters. She is a trained mediator and collaborative law practitioner. She has held leadership roles including on the Canadian Bar Association's National Alternative Dispute Resolution Section, as Co-Chair of the Okanagan Family Bar Section, as a member of the CBA National Family Section, and as a Family Violence Training Coach for Continuing Legal Education of BC. She has also served as Executive Liaison to the Court Services Committee, Equality & Diversity Committee, and R.E.A.L. Committee, as a member of Provincial Council, and has been appointed to the CBABC Advisory Committee to Judicial Council. She founded the Audra M. Bayer Law Corp. in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and holds her law degree from the University of Manitoba. She received the Martindale Hubbell Client Distinction Award for Excellence in Client Service in 2013 and 2015.
