About Arnold

Arnold's practice centers on complex commercial litigation, covering judicial reviews of regulatory decisions, disputes between competitors, shareholder and partnership conflicts, and insurance coverage and bad faith claims. He has also handled wrongful dismissal cases, licensing and distribution disputes, environmental litigation, and insolvency matters. In 2015 he served as trial counsel in R. v. Comeau, the 'Free the Beer' case, and two years later acted as co-counsel before the Supreme Court of Canada on the same interprovincial trade issue. He has appeared at every level of court in Ontario as well as the Federal Court and Supreme Court of Canada, and has built a longstanding practice advising on liquor regulation and specialty insurance claims for jewellery, fine art, and cash-in-transit businesses. He earned his BA and LLB from Queen's University and was called to the Ontario bar in 1987.
