About Anthony

Anthony Mattila was called to the bar in 2016 after articling at a family law firm in Nanaimo. He completed his law degree at the University of Victoria, where through the co-op program he worked at the Law Society of Nunavut, at a corporate firm in Bangkok, and as a poverty law advocate in North Vancouver. Before law school he earned a BA in Psychology from Simon Fraser University, where he worked as a research assistant in the Human Neuropsychology Lab, and later worked in television production and taught English in Japan and South Korea. His primary focus is family law, and he has appeared in the Provincial Court, the Supreme Court of BC, and the BC Court of Appeal.
