About Anita

Anita Szigeti has practised law in Ontario for more than 30 years and is recognized as one of a handful of experts on the law of mental disorder, in both the civil and criminal justice streams. She was called to the Ontario bar in 1992 after graduating from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, and is also called to the Nunavut bar. She represents clients with serious mental health issues before administrative tribunals such as the Consent and Capacity Board and Ontario Review Board, and on appeals up to the Supreme Court of Canada.
