About Andrea
Andrea Swabuk-Moe has practiced exclusively in family law for over 12 years and co-founded YSM Family Law. She has appeared in court on guardianship, parenting, child and spousal support, and property division matters, but prefers negotiation, mediation, and the Collaborative Divorce process to help clients retain control over outcomes. She has an extensive relationship planning practice, drafting cohabitation, prenuptial, and marriage agreements for clients in new relationships or blended families. Swabuk-Moe is also a certified mediator who assists couples through formal dispute resolution after separation. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology with Honours from Simon Fraser University in 2006 and a law degree from the University of Alberta in 2009, and was admitted to the Alberta bar in 2010, practicing family law in Calgary before returning to Vancouver in 2020. She is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia, sits on the Canadian Bar Association's Family Law Section committee and the Collaborative Divorce Vancouver board, and is accredited as a Family Law Mediator and Collaborative Divorce Practitioner.
