About Alykhan
Alykhan Nurani is the founder of Nurani Law, an Edmonton criminal defence firm he established in April 2024. He grew up in Edmonton, earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alberta, and completed his legal education at the University of Saskatchewan College of Law, focusing on sentencing, criminal procedure, and evidence law. Alykhan articled at a firm in Stony Plain, gaining experience in trials, preliminary inquiries, and bail hearings, and has since represented clients facing charges ranging from drug possession and trafficking to robbery and sexual assault, securing dismissals, acquittals, and reduced sentences in a number of cases. He was called to the bar of the Northwest Territories in early 2026 and is available to take cases there in addition to Alberta.
