About Allison Pressé

Allison Pressé handles auto insurance, premises liability and product liability files as a lawyer at SBA.

Pressé was admitted to the Ontario bar in 2015. Teaching has become part of the work too: since 2023, Pressé has been on the faculty for the Civil Procedure Practicum at Toronto Metropolitan University's Lincoln Alexander School of Law. Ontario's coming civil procedure reforms are a recurring theme, both in a June 2025 Without Prejudice article and in a client seminar that September. Other seminars have tackled snow and ice liability and how evidence gets preserved at a scene, and newer defence lawyers heard Pressé's top ten lessons at the CDL Boot Camp in October 2025. There's also a book chapter on costs, Chapter 9 of LexisNexis's Canadian Insurance Defence textbook (2024).

Giving back runs through the résumé. Pressé has volunteered legal advice with Pro Bono Ontario since 2016 and, since 2022, has done pro bono work for LGBTQ refugees through Rainbow Railroad.

Outside the office, you'll find a choral singer who loves musical theatre. Pressé has sat on the board of The Seraphim & Cherubim Choir and sung with it since 2018, and has performed and raised funds in Nightwood Theatre's The Lawyer Show (2017, and again from 2023 on). Friends and colleagues know Pressé as a gifted baker. Home includes two sighthounds, a Saluki and a Sloughi, and downtime goes to swimming, racket sports and the odd triathlon.
