About Allison

Allison Brett is a partner at Schnell Hardy Jones LLP practising primarily in family law, with a focus on the collaborative process, and also assists clients with real estate transactions. Born and raised in Red Deer with a family farming background, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Calgary in 2007 and her Juris Doctor from the University of Alberta in 2010, articling with Schnell Hardy Jones LLP before becoming a partner. Her family law practice covers adoption, separation and divorce, property division, parenting arrangements, and child and spousal support, and she appears on behalf of the Director of Maintenance Enforcement on interjurisdictional support matters. Allison is a board member of the Collaborative Divorce Alberta Association and a member of the Collaborative Lawyers Association of Central Alberta and the Central Alberta Bar Society, and previously served on the board of the Central Alberta Humane Society.
