About Alison
Alison handles the full range of family law matters, including complex property and support disputes, parenting issues, separation agreements, marriage contracts and cohabitation agreements, as well as cases involving jurisdictional and mobility questions. As a litigator, she is mindful of the toll that lengthy contested proceedings take and favours alternative dispute resolution where it works, while still being ready to go to court when needed. She has practised family law since her 2012 call to the Ontario bar, spending nearly nine years at a well-regarded Toronto boutique before joining Dickson Appell LLP in 2021. Alison holds a J.D. from the University of Calgary and a B.A. from Concordia University, and belongs to the Family Lawyers Association, the Toronto Lawyers Association and the Advocates' Society.
