About Alexander

Alexander (Sandy) Brophy was born and raised in Edmonton and became interested in criminal law after watching a documentary about the wrongful conviction of Jason Dix. He attended the University of Alberta, earning a Bachelor of Arts in History in 2011 and a Juris Doctor from the Faculty of Law in 2018. He has handled criminal cases in the Provincial Court and Court of King's Bench of Alberta, and also takes on traffic court matters and appeals of roadside suspensions at SafeRoads Alberta and, formerly, the Alberta Transportation Safety Board. Outside of practice, he enjoys karaoke, Dungeons and Dragons, live theatre, music, and comic books.
