About Akbar
Akbar Mohamed is a South African and Canadian lawyer who earned his B.A. and LL.B. from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg in 1984, where he ran his own practice before relocating to Canada. He completed the National Committee for Accreditation equivalency requirements in 2002, obtained his J.D. from the University of Western Ontario in 2003, and finished the Toronto Bar Admission Course later that year. He articled and worked as an associate at a Bay Street firm before joining KSM Law as a principal, and he was called to the Ontario bar in 2004. With about 28 years of legal experience, he practices civil, corporate commercial, personal injury and family law, and has a particular interest in litigation, wills and estates, and immigration matters.
