He has belonged to the Canadian Bar Association for more than 45 years, is a founding member of the North Island Criminal Lawyers Association, and has been a Benefactor Level member of the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia since 1983. He has been a member of the Law Society of British Columbia since 1984.
