Cleveland Doan LLP is a law firm based in White Rock, British Columbia, in Metro Vancouver. Richard Cleveland and the late Dale Doan established the firm in 1995, aiming to build a community-oriented practice where Peninsula clients could get the same calibre of legal work as in the city without having to travel into Vancouver for it. Grace Cleveland, a Certified Executor Advisor and Trust and Estate Practitioner, focuses on estate and disability planning, administration, and litigation, while Alyona Kokanova brings commercial litigation experience from articling at a large regional litigation firm in downtown Toronto before joining Cleveland Doan. On the litigation side generally, the firm points clients toward negotiated and mediated outcomes first, noting that going to court is often more costly and less certain than settling.
