About BM Law Corporation

BM Law Corporation is a law firm based in Vancouver, with its office on West Broadway. Bobby Movassaghi, a Vancouver native, founded the firm after more than seven years of practice at a major British Columbia firm. Movassaghi holds a business degree from the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia, a JD from a law school in Southern California, and an LLM in criminal law from UBC. The firm practices criminal defence, family law, civil litigation, and wills, estates, and succession planning, and its lawyers appear in Provincial Court, Supreme Court, and the Court of Appeal across British Columbia.

The team has grown to include several lawyers, a senior paralegal, an articling student, and a legal assistant. Associate Mona Zarbafian, called to the bar in 2015, practices in English and Farsi, and associate Ginny Zhu practices in English and Mandarin Chinese. Lawyer James Macdonnell, who grew up in Kelowna, has appeared before the BC Human Rights Tribunal and the WorkSafe Appeals Tribunal in addition to the provincial courts. Senior paralegal Kirsten Meers holds a Gladue Report Writer certificate and belongs to the BC First Nations Justice Council. The firm offers flexible fee arrangements and takes on some matters through legal aid for clients who qualify.
