About Hardie Law Professional Corporation

Hardie Law Professional Corporation is a solo family law practice founded in 2016 by Tracey Hardie, who operates from an office in Stouffville and meets clients by appointment. Hardie was called to the Ontario bar in 2016 after graduating from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2014, and the practice focuses on separation and divorce with an emphasis on alternatives to litigation rather than a courtroom-first approach. Services include collaborative practice, cohabitation agreements and marriage contracts, adoption, notary work, and limited scope legal services, alongside traditional legal representation.

Before law school, Hardie earned an honours degree from the University of Toronto in Women and Gender Studies and Sociology, then completed a mediation intensive program at Osgoode Hall along with mediation training at Toronto small claims court. Hardie went on to finish a mediation certification and internship in 2018 and 2019 and has assisted families through both private and court connected mediation services since 2019, remaining a member in good standing with the Ontario Association of Family Mediators. The firm notes that Hardie has personally been through a separation and divorce, an experience clients have said helps them feel understood. Hardie is also a member of the Métis community.
