Capo Sgro LLP is a full-service law firm based in Woodbridge, in the city of Vaughan, Ontario. John A. Capo and Frank Sgro founded the firm in 1978, the same year both were called to the Ontario bar after earning law degrees from the University of Windsor in 1976. The firm has grown to ten lawyers who represent large corporations, partnerships, owner-operated businesses, non-profit organizations, families and individuals.
The practice covers corporate and commercial law, civil litigation, family law, real estate, wills and estates, and municipal law, and the firm has worked with law firms in Europe and the United States on clients' cross-border matters. A construction litigation practice joined Capo Sgro LLP in 1983, when Hemsworth and Thom merged into the firm. Frank Sgro, one of the two founders, still practices real estate, corporate and commercial law, and estate planning at the firm, and is fluent in Italian.
