About Asare Law Office

Asare Law Office is a sole practitioner firm in Concord, part of the City of Vaughan in York Region, handling immigration and refugee law, family law, labour and employment law, and criminal defence. The firm was founded by Yaa Asare, who holds a BA from the University of Ghana, an LLB from the Ghana Institute of Management and Professional Administration plus Ghana School of Law training, and an LLM from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University, along with the Law Practice Program at Toronto Metropolitan University. Asare is licensed to practise law in both Ghana and Ontario.

Before opening the Concord practice, Asare worked as an associate at S.K. Boafo & Company in Accra, appearing in court and negotiating settlements, and served as a lawyer with Ghana's Human Rights Commission on cases involving the rights of people with disabilities, women, and children. In Canada, Asare trained with Kingsley Jesuorobo and Associates on immigration and refugee matters before setting up the firm, which now accepts Legal Aid Ontario certificates for clients who qualify.
