Agbakwas LLP, Barristers & Solicitors is a small firm based in Toronto, Ontario, with its office on Steeles Avenue West. The firm practices criminal defence, immigration and refugee law, family law, human rights law, wills and estates, and notary services. It was built around two principals, Shedrack C. Agbakwa (NCE, LL.B., B.L, LL.M), a barrister, solicitor and notary public, and F. Nkiru Agbakwa (LL.B., B.L, LL.M), a partner focused on family law, child protection, wills and estates. Nkiru Agbakwa belongs to the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Ontario Bar Association, the Canadian Bar Association and the Nigerian Bar Association.

Before establishing the firm, Agbakwa graduated top of the class (Gold Medalist) from the Faculty of Law at the University of Nigeria's Enugu campus in 1997, then pursued graduate legal studies in Canada, earning academic honours at Dalhousie University, Osgoode Hall Law School and York University, including the Izaak Walton Killam Pre-Doctoral Fellowship at Dalhousie. Agbakwa's academic writing on African human rights and international law has appeared in journals including the Yale Human Rights and Development Law Journal and the German Law Journal, plus a chapter in a 2009 Oxford University Press collection. The firm's day-to-day practice covers criminal, family and immigration matters across the Greater Toronto Area.
