Lawyer Up Canada is a criminal defence firm run out of Richmond Hill, Ontario, by Victor O'Brien. O'Brien's path to the firm started early. Before law school, O'Brien clerked for a criminal court judge and worked with an innocence project reviewing wrongful conviction cases, then spent 14 months working under criminal defence lawyer Eddie Greenspan. A law degree from the University of London followed, along with two years watching criminal trials at London's Old Bailey. O'Brien articled at a Toronto immigration firm, worked at a civil litigation practice, and became an associate at one of York Region's busiest criminal defence firms before opening Lawyer Up in Richmond Hill.
