About Chegini Law Office

Chegini Law Office is a Richmond Hill, Ontario law firm run by Maryam Mirkhond Chegini, a barrister, solicitor, notary and commissioner. Chegini holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto in political science, philosophy, and Near and Middle Eastern studies, followed by a Master of Arts, also from the University of Toronto, in political theory and Middle Eastern studies. An interest in the English common law system and a fascination with the European Union led to further study at Nottingham Law School in the United Kingdom, where a Graduate Honours Law Degree (LL.B.) was completed.

Before opening the firm, Chegini worked in the in-house legal department of the Ontario Realty Corporation and at CB Richard Ellis Global Corporate Services, gaining experience in commercial real estate and corporate law. Time at small and medium-sized firms in the United Kingdom and Canada added work in residential real estate, leasing, franchising, business and corporate law, wills and estates, collaborative family law, and immigration law. Chegini Law Office now focuses on real estate and estate law, acting for individuals, developers, financial institutions, and small and medium businesses on residential and commercial transactions, wills, powers of attorney, and estate administration, with service available in English and Farsi.
