About Poon & Ho LLP

Poon & Ho LLP is a full service law firm based in Markham, Ontario. It was established in 1997 through the merger of the law offices of Sidney S. Poon, Q.C. and Rufus Ho, and has served the Markham area for over 25 years. The firm practices litigation, including civil, commercial, and construction disputes, along with family law, real estate, corporate-commercial law, and wills and estates, serving clients across the Greater Toronto Area and, for some matters, internationally.

The firm currently has two partners and two associates. Partner Ford W. Wong holds a joint JD/LLB from the University of Detroit Mercy and the University of Windsor and a BCom from the University of Toronto's Trinity College, is called to the bar in Ontario, New York, and Washington, D.C., and has argued cases at all levels of court and before administrative tribunals in Ontario, including the Court of Appeal and the Superior Court. Wong also provides service in Cantonese. Partner Eduardo Lam has practiced law since 1999 and became a partner at the firm in 2001; a practice that began in civil litigation and family law has since grown to cover real estate, corporate-commercial law, condominium law, and wills and estates.
