Minken Employment Lawyers is a small firm based in Unionville, a historic part of Markham, Ontario, that works only in employment and labour law. Ronald S. Minken founded the firm in 1990, the year of admission to the Bar of Ontario, after graduating from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1988 and later completing a mediation certification there in 1998. The firm acts for both employers and employees on employment contracts, terminations, wrongful and constructive dismissal, workplace harassment, and human rights complaints, and has appeared before many levels of Ontario courts, including the Court of Appeal, and made submissions to the Supreme Court of Canada. It has three lawyers, plus a legal assistant and client services team, and keeps additional locations in Toronto and Vaughan alongside its Unionville office.

The firm's Unionville office sits inside the McKinnon-Eakin House at 145 Main Street, a building dating to about 1835 that is documented as the second oldest structure in Unionville and the 17th oldest in Ontario. It once served as a jailhouse before Minken restored the property and moved in during February 2014, turning the heritage building into a law office and mediation centre. Canadian HR Reporter named the firm a winner of its 2026 Readers' Choice Awards, following a 2025 nomination in the same program.
