About Golish Law

Golish Law is a sole criminal defence practice in Windsor, led by Kenneth Golish, who has more than 35 years of experience in criminal law. The practice is about 90% criminal law, including jury trials in superior court and appeals, with charges ranging from drug possession and trafficking to domestic violence, sexual assault, impaired driving, and property offences, as well as more serious matters like assault and robbery. The rest of the caseload covers customs and immigration matters.

Golish holds an Honours B.A. from York University, an LL.B. from the University of Windsor, and a J.D. from the University of Detroit Mercy. Admissions include the Law Society of Ontario, the New York bar, the District of Columbia bar, and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. Earlier in the career, Golish served as a part time Assistant Crown Attorney in Windsor, Chatham, Sarnia, and Whitby, and provided criminal duty counsel services. In 1995, Golish launched Windsor's first legal website, golishlaw.com, now home to more than 200 articles on criminal law topics.
