Tania Harper was born and raised in Waterloo Region, studied at McGill University in Montreal and earned a master's degree at Wilfrid Laurier University. Tania Harper finished law school at Western University in 2002 and was called to the Ontario bar in 2003. After articling at a national law firm came several years as in-house counsel at the local children's aid society, then another period at a national firm practising child protection and matrimonial law, before the practice opened in October 2008. Part of the inspiration came from a grandfather, John M. Harper, Q.C., whose legal career ran for over 50 years, mostly in business and municipal law.

Danielle Fraser, a law clerk for almost 20 years, rounds out the team and now works remotely out of the office.

Divorce, support and the matrimonial home

Child protection
Tania Harper Family Law represents people in child protection court cases and advises on voluntary service agreements and other dealings with a children's aid society that don't involve a courtroom. It also acts for foster parents asserting their statutory rights, and for people taking a matter to the Child and Family Services Review Board.
