The neighbourhood
WayForth's office is at 6 Charles Street West in downtown Kitchener. When the Bullas department store opened in 1947 as the anchor of the Bullas Building, which over the years held homes, shops and industry, Charles Street ended at Ontario Street and was described as little more than a lane. That block, bounded by Charles, Gaukel, Joseph and Ontario Streets in the downtown core, went on to become the Charles Street Transit Terminal. Buses stopped using it once ION light rail launched in 2019, and the site has been waiting on its next use since.
