Cooper Lord Law defends people charged with crimes in Kitchener, Ontario, and criminal law is the only work it does. Cooper Lord founded the firm in 2013, and a 2023 expansion brought in the current team along with additional services.

Cooper has spent more than ten years helping clients who face criminal charges across Southwestern Ontario. Cooper takes on serious and complex charges of every type and brings a particular zeal to protecting an accused person's Charter rights. Cooper's degrees are a B.A. from the University of Florida (2005) and a J.D. from Florida State University (2010).

Associate Julia Kuczynski is a Kitchener-Waterloo local who articled with the firm and then came back to it as an associate. Julia earned a Juris Doctor and a Bachelor of Civil Law at McGill's Faculty of Law in 2023, with a final-year legal clinic placement at Montreal's SPCA, and was called to the bar in June 2024. Julia's clients have faced everything from federal drug charges to provincial and Criminal Code offences.

Associate Megan Delaronde spent two summers at the Kitchener Crown Office before turning to defence, then articled with both Tonya Kent and Cooper Lord Law on files that ran from simple charges to complex murder cases. After articling, Megan rejoined the firm as an associate and was called to the Bar in 2025. Megan defends every kind of charge and gives particular attention to youth, Indigenous clients, drug and gun charges, and search warrant cases. At Osgoode, Megan served from 2021 to 2023 as Director of Cultural and Community Relations for the Osgoode Indigenous Students' Association.
