About Wojcik Law

Wojcik Law is the trade name of Wojcik Professional Corporation, a solo real estate law practice in North York, Toronto. Greg Wojcik founded the firm in 2008, after articling at a firm that specialized in real estate and family law. Wojcik holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management and a law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University, and is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the Canadian Bar Association, and the Ontario Bar Association. Before law school, Wojcik spent a year in the Strategic Planning and Development Department of the Warsaw Transit Authority in Poland, an unusual first career for a Toronto real estate lawyer.

The firm's core work is residential and commercial real estate, covering resale purchases, new build and condominium closings, and commercial leasing, financing, zoning, and development matters. It also drafts wills and both types of power of attorney, and handles family law through cohabitation agreements, marriage contracts, and separation agreements, resolved by negotiation and mediation rather than litigation. Wojcik Law is also a notary public, offering document notarization, commissioning, and certified true copies. It works from one North York office and describes its practice as serving clients across the Greater Toronto Area.

The neighbourhood

The firm's office sits in the Consumers Road office corridor in North York, a stretch of commercial buildings just east of Highway 404 that sits outside the boundary of the adjoining Henry Farm neighbourhood, a low rise residential area first subdivided in the 1960s and 1970s. It's an office park setting near the meeting of Highway 401 and 404 and the Sheppard Avenue and Victoria Park Avenue intersection, not a downtown storefront, which suits a firm that describes its practice as serving clients across the Greater Toronto Area rather than one walk-in neighbourhood.

Frequently asked questions

I'm buying a pre-construction condo in the GTA. Can Wojcik Law review the agreement before I sign?
Yes. The firm's real estate practice reviews Agreements of Purchase and Sale for new builds and condominiums, including the extra charges builders often add, such as development fees, park levies, and utility connection costs, that a lawyer can sometimes limit or remove before the deal becomes firm.
I already signed my purchase agreement. Is it too late to have a lawyer look at it?
Not necessarily. Wojcik Law advises that an agreement, and any amendments to it, should still be reviewed by a lawyer while the offer remains conditional and before it becomes firm, so it's worth calling as soon as possible after signing.
Does Wojcik Law handle divorce and child custody litigation?
No. The firm's family law work is limited to cohabitation agreements, marriage contracts, and separation agreements, resolved through negotiation or mediation rather than court litigation, and by law those agreements cannot deal with custody, support, or other issues involving children.
Can Wojcik Law prepare my will and powers of attorney?
Yes. The firm drafts wills and both a power of attorney for property and a power of attorney for personal care, and can update an existing will after a marriage, divorce, birth of a child, or property purchase.
Do you offer notary public services?
Yes. Wojcik Law provides notary public services, including notarizing and commissioning documents and certifying true copies.
Where is Wojcik Law located and how do I reach the firm?
The office is at 201 Consumers Road, Suite 207, in North York, near Highway 401 and 404 and the Sheppard Avenue and Victoria Park Avenue intersection. You can reach the firm by phone at 416-292-8277 or by email.
