About Walsh & Associates

Walsh & Associates is a law firm based in Vaughan, Ontario, that has served the Vaughan area for more than 80 years. It was founded as Walsh and Walsh by brothers Fergus Patrick Walsh and John Walsh, back when Vaughan was still mostly farmland; James J. Walsh's father, one of the two founders, often accepted farm-grown goods as payment from early clients. The firm was later renamed Walsh & Associates as a second generation of lawyers joined the practice. It now serves Toronto, Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Markham, King City and the wider GTA, with virtual services available across Ontario, and focuses on real estate, corporate and commercial law, and wills and estates.

Senior partner James J. Walsh was called to the Ontario bar in 1970 and has practiced law for more than 50 years, much of it serving the Vaughan community, guiding clients through business launches, property transactions and estate planning, and mentoring younger lawyers who articled at the firm. Managing lawyer Antonette Persechino handles real estate, corporate law, and wills and estates work for individuals, families, entrepreneurs and corporate clients. The firm's paralegal, Mehria Qarizadha, is a licensed paralegal and notary public in Ontario who handles landlord and tenant matters and small claims court work.
